Gaiella occulta gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel representative of a deep branching phylogenetic lineage within the class Actinobacteria and proposal of Gaiellaceae fam. nov. and Gaiellales ord. nov.Two isolates, with an optimum growth temperature of about 35-37°C and an optimum pH for growth between 6.5 and 7.5, were recovered from a deep mineral water aquifer in Portugal. Strains form rod-shaped cells and were non-motile. These strains were non-pigmented, strictly aerobic, catalase and oxidase positive. Strains F2-233(T) and F2-223 assimilated carbohydrates, organic acids and amino acids. Major fatty acids were novel iso internally branched such as 17:0 iso 10-methyl, 17:0 iso and 15:0 is ...201121899973
patulibacter ginsengiterrae sp. nov., isolated from soil of a ginseng field.a novel actinobacterial strain, designated p4-5t, was isolated from soil of a ginseng field located in geumsan county, republic of korea. cells of strain p4-5t were gram-stain-positive, oxidase- and catalase-positive, motile, short rods and produced semi-translucent, creamy white colonies on tryptic soy agar. the isolate contained dmk-7 as the predominant isoprenoid quinone, c18:1ω9c and anteiso-c15:0 as the major fatty acids, galactose, glucose, mannose, arabinose, xylose (trace) and rhamnose a ...201121515709
description of patulibacter americanus sp. nov., isolated from biological soil crusts, emended description of the genus patulibacter takahashi et al. 2006 and proposal of solirubrobacterales ord. nov. and thermoleophilales ord. nov.two bacterial strains, cp153-3 and cp177-2t, were isolated from biological soil crusts on the colorado plateau, usa, and assigned to the genus patulibacter, according to 16s rrna gene sequence analysis and phenotypic characteristics. the strains were gram-positive, aerobic and psychrotolerant and showed positive catalase and negative oxidase reactions. cells were motile in young cultures, motility consisting of subtle jerking motions, but no flagella could be detected. the strains shared high 16 ...200919126730
solirubrobacter soli sp. nov., isolated from soil of a ginseng field.a gram-positive, non-spore-forming, rod-shaped and non-motile bacterium, strain gsoil 355(t), was isolated from soil of a ginseng field in south korea. in phylogenetic analyses based on 16s rrna gene sequences, strain gsoil 355(t) showed the highest levels of sequence similarity with respect to solirubrobacter pauli b33d1(t) (97.4 %), conexibacter woesei dsm 14684(t) (94.2 %) and patulibacter minatonensis kv-614(t) (91.8 %). the strain possesses menaquinone mk-7(h(4)) and contains c(16 : 0) and ...200717625174
patulibacter minatonensis gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel actinobacterium isolated using an agar medium supplemented with superoxide dismutase, and proposal of patulibacteraceae fam. nov.a novel gram-positive bacterial strain, designated kv-614t, was isolated from a soil sample using an agar medium supplemented with superoxide dismutase. based on 16s rrna gene sequence analysis, it was found that the strain represented a novel deep-rooting lineage within the class actinobacteria and clustered with yet-uncultivated bacteria from terrestrial environments and some unidentified strains isolated by unique methods. the most closely related established genus was conexibacter (92.4% seq ...200616449447
