| new records of human tungiasis in mexico (siphonaptera:tungidae). | human cases of tungiasis were recorded in mexico until 1948. here we report 3 new cases of infection by chigoe, tunga penetrans (l.), with 2 from hidalgo state and the 3rd, although acquired in mexico city, was associated with the other 2 cases. this is the 1st record of this species in hidalgo state and indicates a reappearance of this parasite in mexico. | 1996 | 8961652 |
