[immunologic monitoring of leptospirosis in the maritime territory].the epidemiological and epizootic situation in leptospira infections at the maritime [correction of primorski] territory is evaluated on the basis of complex studies carried out in 1984-1989. as revealed in these studies, cases of leptospirosis among humans have a sporadic character and are mainly registered among professional high risk groups of the population. in the immunological structure of persons covered by the survey l. hebdomadis, l. pomona and l. javanica prevail. the anthropourgic foc ...19902256398
mitochondrial dna diversity in wild boar from the primorsky krai region (east russia).we have studied the cytochrome b gene and control region dna variability in 14 wild boars from the primorsky region, in the far east corner of russia. variability was low (π = 0.00248 overall) compared with the usual estimates in these loci, indicating that this is a rather closed population. seven haplotypes were found, and one was identical to a chinese wild boar. phylogeographically, the sequences clustered among several asian clades, primarily chinese domestic pigs and japanese and chinese w ...201120477807
[infection of pigs with influenza a/h4 and a/h5 viruses isolated from wild birds on the territory of russia].pigs were intranasally infected with avian influenza a/h5 (h5n1, h5n3) and a/h4 (h4n6, h4n8) viruses in mono- and coinfection. infection with both apathogenic and pathogenic strains caused no clinical manifestations. a virus and/or fragments of its genome retained in nasopharyngeal fluid as long as 6-8 days after infection. during monoinfection, the structure of the hemagglutinin (ha) receptor site of isolates from the pigs infected with a/h5n1 strains (a/chicken/kurgan/3/2005, a/duck/russia/535 ...200819172904
[the biology of paragonimus westermani ichunensis in the maritime territory. experimental research].it has been experimentally found that larval and pulmonary paragonimiasis types are caused by the trematode paragonimus westermani ichunensis. the development of either paragonimiasis in nontypical definitive hosts depends on the stage of larval development when they penetrate into the mammal. only the p. westermani ichunensis trematode is likely to develop with the participation of juga mollusks on the territory of the primorye.19947715551
[biochemical characteristics of yersinia enterocolitica strains isolated in the maritime territory].the detailed study of 179 strains, considered to be typical and atypical representatives of y. enterocolitica upon their isolation, has been carried out. of these, 129 strains have been found to belong to y. enterocolitica with their typical biochemical properties and 50 strains, to new yersinia species. the ecological sources of all the isolated strains are indicated. the necessity of the thorough epidemiological, clinical and laboratory study of the etiological role of yersinia in acute intest ...19836637269
[study of combined foci of mosquito-transmitted arbovirus infections].a total of 5227 serum specimens from humans, horses and swine collected in the seasons of 1968--1976 in 15 administrative areas of the primorskiy kray were examined with antigens of a number of mosquito-borne arboviruses: japanese encephalitis (je), west nile (wn), getah, and sindbis. both independent and combined circulation of these viruses in the region was established. sindbis virus was found to be circulating separately most frequently, west nile virus the least frequently. according to the ...19816121423
