evidence of porcine circovirus-like virus p1 in piglets with an unusual congenital tremor.outbreaks of trembling and shaking were reported among pigs at two pig farms in jiangsu province, china. serum and tissue samples tested positive for porcine circovirus-like virus p1 and negative for classical swine fever virus, porcine circovirus type 2, astrovirus and porcine pestivirus using pcr/rt-pcr and immunohistochemical techniques. high p1 viral genome loads were identified in sera, brain and lymph node tissue samples by qpcr. in addition, one of the most notable pathological changes wa ...201729178610
genetic and phylogenetic analysis of a new porcine circovirus type 2 (pcv2) strain in china.porcine circovirus type 2 (pcv2) is the etiological agent associated with several pig diseases that are collectively referred to as porcine circovirus-associated disease (pcvad). unfortunately, pcv2 has had a serious economic impact on the swine industry. in this study, we report the genome sequence of a novel pcv2 isolate (js2015) identified in pigs in jiang su, china. the complete dna sequence was 1766 nucleotides long with an a+t content of 52.7%. it lacked a guanine (g) at nucleotide positio ...201526395090
Prevalence of porcine circovirus-like agent P1 in Jiangsu, China.ABSTRACT: Recently, we identified a novel porcine circovirus type 2-like agent P1 isolate from swine. The present study represents the first survey of P1 prevalence in swine herds from Jiangsu, China, by using PCR targeting the complete genome of P1. Prevalences of 50% and 19% were found among 6 herds and 248 animals, respectively. The results indicate a high prevalence of P1 in China pig populations.201122171842
