Biodegradation of melamine and its hydroxy derivatives by a bacterial consortium containing a novel Nocardioides species.Melamine has recently been recognized as a food contaminant with adverse human health effects. Melamine contamination in some crops arises from soil and water pollution from various causes. To remove melamine from the polluted environment, a novel bacterium, Nocardioides sp. strain ATD6, capable of degrading melamine was enriched and isolated from a paddy soil sample. The enrichment culture was performed by the soil-charcoal perfusion method in the presence of triazine-degrading bacteria previou ...201122105542
polyclonal antibody against conserved sequences of mce1a protein blocks mtb infection in macrophages.the pathogenesis of mycobacterium tuberculosis is largely due to its ability to enter and survive within human macrophages. it is suggested that a specific protein namely mammalian cell entry protein is involved in the pathogenesis and the specific gene for this protein mce1a has been identified in several pathogenic organisms such as rickettsia, shigella, escherichia coli, helicobacter, streptomyces, klebsiella, vibrio, neisseria, rhodococcus, nocardioides, saccharopolyspora erthyrae, and pseud ...201122159737
nocardioides lianchengensis sp. nov., a novel actinomycete isolated from soil of liancheng county of fujian province, china.a novel gram-positive, aerobic, rod-shaped bacterium, designated strain d94-1t, was isolated from soil selected from liancheng county of fujian province, china. phylogenetic analysis based on 16s rrna gene sequences revealed that strain d94-1t was a member of the genus nocardioides and closely related to nocardioides salaries dsm 18239t (98.54 % sequence similarity), nocardioides marinisabuli dsm 18965t (98.30 %), nocardioides basaltis dsm 22259t (98.10 %) and nocardioides dokdonensis kctc 1930 ...201222228655
