studies in the biochemistry of micro-organisms: palitantin, c(14)h(22)o(4), a hitherto undescribed metabolic product of penicillium palitans westling. 193616746092
tremorgenic toxin from penicillium palitans.a strain of penicillium palitans, implicated in the deaths of dairy cows, produces an intracellular tremorgenic mycotoxin.19695803625
isolation of viridicatin from penicillium palitans. 19705487865
tremorgenic toxins from penicillia. ii. a new tremorgenic toxin, tremortin b, from penicillium palitans. 19714397297
the use of aflp to relate cheese-contaminating penicillium strains to specific points in the production plants.amplified fragment length polymorphism (aflp) analysis was performed on isolates of penicillium commune and penicillium palitans originating from cheese and indoor environment in four cheese factories. the aflp method was found to be a useful tool for identification of p. commune and p. palitans on, as well as below, species level. however, aflp in combination with m13 fingerprinting described in a previous paper provided better resolution at the intraspecific level than either of the methods al ...200312706040
use of the selective agar medium cread for monitoring the level of airborne spoilage moulds in cheese production.it was investigated if a selective medium for common cheese spoiling moulds (cread) could give more relevant information than a general mould medium in hygienic air-sampling in cheese factories. a total of 126 air-samples were taken in six nordic cheese factories using the general mould medium dg18 and cread. the level and genera of air-borne mould was determined. identification to species-level was performed for a selection of samples. in five cheese factories the mycobiota was dominated by pen ...200818164777
[optimization of cultivation conditions of penicillium palitans strain 266 which synthesizes alpha-l-rhamnosidase].the influence of different factors on the biosynthesis of extracellular alpha-l-rhamnosidase in penicillium palitans at submerged cultivation has been investigated. it was shown that rhamnose and nano3 are the optimum carbon and nitrogen sources, respectively. the temperature of 26 degrees c, ph 5.0, growing in 50 ml of the medium at swing velocity 160 rev/min, adding of 5% of inoculum with cultivation for 4 days are the optimal parameters.201217243362
[clavine alkaloid biosynthesis by the fungus penicillium palitans westling 1911 isolated from ancient permafrost deposits].the relic strain of penicillium palitans isolated from the ancient permafrost deposits produces clavine alkaloids such as festuclavine, fumigaclavine a, and fumigaclavine b. alkaloid biosynthesis is concurrent with the growth. tryptophan and zinc ion additives to the culture medium stimulate the synthesis of alkaloids.201319382708
penicillium strains isolated from slovak grape berries taxonomy assessment by secondary metabolite profile.the secondary metabolite profiles of microfungi of the genus penicillium isolated from samples of grape berries collected in two different phases during two vegetative seasons in slovakia is described to assess the taxonomy. three slovak vine regions have been selected for this study, based on their climatic differences and national economic importance. cultures of microfungi isolated from berries were incubated on different selective media for macro and micromorphology identification. the speci ...201425109845
