| isolation of polioviruses from paralyzed children in the province of isfahan, iran. | viral studies were carried out in 47 children with clinical features of paralytic poliomyelitis. forty-seven healthy children matched in age and sex were used as controls. fourteen cases of polioviruses were isolated from the paralyzed children. of these, 10 isolates were of type one, 2 type two and 2 type three. among the healthy children two polioviruses were isolated, one type 1 and one type three. the importance of vaccination against poliomyelitis is emphasized. | 1977 | 199876 |
