copemania obendorfi n. gen., n. sp., parasitic in dasyurus maculatus in victoria shows a mixture of primitive and specialised characters. from the morphology of the bursa, we interpret the species as derived from nicollina, which are parasites of monotremes and which have invaded marsupialis.
